My Story

I'm a Registered Holistic Nutrition Practitioner™

(RHNP™) and Fat Loss & Weight Management Specialist in Vancouver BC, Canada.

Born in Japan, I grew up in a culture that views small and skinny as beautiful.  In my early 20s, before I knew anything about nutrition or exercise, my way of maintaining that body image was the only way I knew how at the time - extreme calorie cutting.

I did lose a lot of weight and was happy with my appearance, despite the fact I was quite underweight for my height.  I always felt hungry but took that as a good sign that I would keep losing weight.

It got to the point that I would avoid social engagements to avoid the temptation of eating.

Not surprisingly, I eventually got sick and needed to visit a doctor.  After that, I decided I would fix my fear of eating and negative body image.  I started to introduce healthy foods slowly into my diet, and exercise.  Little by little.

I didn't know well what I was doing, but I did my own research to be healthy physically and mentally.

At the age of 30, I finally decided to put myself into a fitness environment to motivate myself to really learn a healthy lifestyle.

I met great people along the way and one of my coworkers introduced me to holistic nutrition while coaching me fitness. I was fascinated by the fitness and wellness, healthy eating lifestyle - so I made a decision to educate myself with holistic nutrition with a passion for helping people who are experiencing what I have gone through. Fast forward to today, I am now coaching people to work towards their physical and mental health goals. I am grateful to keep learning with my clients. Our bodies are very complicated - I believe that knowing our body & mind connection to happiness & wellness is our long-life education. I am so excited to meet you and work with your one of own kind of body to get to your health goals.
